5-Minute Fall Salad

Ditch spending the time making your own salad and use my bagged salad hack!

Total Time: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • 1 bagged salad of your choice (I love the options at Costco)

  • 1/2 cup of chopped dates

  • 1/4 cup almonds; chopped or slivered

    • Other add in options: roasted walnuts, chopped hazelnuts, toasted pine nuts, dried cherries or blueberries (no sugar added), chopped figs, etc.

  • 3-1/2 TBS extra virgin olive oil

  • 1-1/2 TBS balsamic vinegar; flavored if preferred

  • Sea Salt

  • Protein of choice; chicken, wild salmon, cold lentils, etc. (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large salad bowl, empty one bagged salad.

  2. Prepare add-ins as desired. If using dates and almonds, chop and sliver; respectively.

  3. For dressing: whisk together extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and sea salt.

  4. Pour dressing over salad mixture, toss, plate, and enjoy!
